Faheem "DJ Priority" Jackson was born and raised in New Jersey's 3rd largest city... Paterson. He was practically raised with music in his veins because of his parents fondness for music during his early years. His father, a Dj, always invited him into his home studio to listen and record albums
for personal listening. In high school, Faheem tried his hands at djaying and soon took a liking to, not only djaying, but the culture of Hip Hop.During this time he started to record and rap with his friends and family to create Mixtapes and DJ blends for his friends

After graduation, He continued to pursue his dreams by attending shows, entering dj contests and recording his own music through local studios. Around 2003, while djaying on college radio, he met DJ Max Jerome who introduced him to the NJ Hip Hop scene throughouly. DJ Priority began moderating Max Jerome's website www.basically-hiphop.com
and became a member of his radio show called "The Last Hip Hop radio show". The radio show became a significant median by getting local artist's music played on air throughought Passaic County in NJ.
During this time he met Blackk45, and numerous upcoming and established DJs, Producers, Graff Writers, Emcees, Beat Boxers and Breakdancers from the Tri-State area.
Soon after that meeting... DJ Priority, Max Jerome and Black45 began working together and eventually organized the event "Meet The Producers" which will eventually become the premier Beat Battle event in NJ from 2003 to 2009. This also happenned simultaneously as he started on a college music tour across the country with Virgin Records.
When he returned, Dj Priority began making a name for himself by performing and Deejaying at 100's of events in NJ, NY, DC and Philly areas. Most notably at the Hip Hop Political Convention, NJPAC's Planet Hip Hop and the annual RockSteady Anniversary Event... all held in Newark, NJ.
In 2005, he started to learn how to produce music for Hip Hop and R&B artists. He got his first big break by placing beats on Vast Aire's classic album "Dueces Wild" and Mighty Joseph's (Vast aire & Karniege) "Empire State" albums in 2008.

After his first music placements, emcees and artists began to take notice of his instrumentals across the globe. DJ Priority was featured in the critically acclaimed "King Of The Beats 2" dvd established in the UK in 2008 and created by Pritt Kalsi. The dvd featured producers from all parts of the world in a challenge to produce the best instrumentals with limited money while being filmed throughout the entire creative process. During the same year, DJ Priority started to release Beat CDs entitled "Beat Cinema" online for emcees and listeners. Through this series he bagan to work with a bunch of artists including DoItAll (L.O.T.U.G.), Venomous2000, Jukstapose, Mel Official
and a host of other dope artists. Since then, he began to work with Venomous2000 to create thier first album together "Fresh Amazingly" in 2011. This album can be found on Itunes, Amazon and other media outlets online. Currently, DJ Priority is working on his second album with Venomous2000 called "Pre-Legendary Status" that has a tentative release date of May/June 2012. He is also gearing up for an upcoming "Beat Cinema" Beat CD Album in the summer of 2012.
