A Str8buttah Production Presentation : Teck Zilla's "Souled Off"
Str8buttah in conjunction with thewordisbond.com proudly present this love themed instrumental collection titled "Souled Off:A Dedication To Molly Molls". Entirely produced by Teck-Zilla using soul samples, hard beat breaks and then some. It is essentially a reflection of his experiences through falling in love, lust, heart breaks and loneliness (and not the drug). San & Elliot Niezel : "Against the grain" #RT #oficialcover
Audible Braile Ent. @AudibleBraile
#againstTHEgrain an #album by #producer @iamSANhedrin #emcee@elliottniezel
& #engineer @Riz_Ventura #OFFICIAL pic.twitter.com/saFjw5Nybx
Grain (n): roughness in texture; the arrangement and size of constituent particles – the rough or textured outer surface of a person’s character or natural tendency.
What Elliott Niezel and San ‘The Instru-Monumentalist’ have created is Against the Grain – contrary to one’s natural inclination or feeling of someone or something. This project goes against the mean and popular belief, following an entirely new path.
The year was 1996 and San, music producer, graphic designer, and business man, happened to find himself amongst the right people, leading him to serious pursuit of a career in music. Sixteen years later, he was introduced to the work of emcee, Elliott Niezel, on a record titled “Dream Catchers” from Soulogik’s album, Cabin Fever. After exploring more of Elliott’s work, including his studio album, The Leap Year, he decided to reach out to him in the hopes of working together. At that point, these two music-focused souls started tossing ideas and concepts around for a collaboration, leading them to the conclusion of something against the grain. Their idea was to create something completely new and unique – unorthodox; an album focused on the idea of the ‘plague doctors’. It was a desperate time that called for desperate measures, where men of conviction and raw passion were needed more than ever. San and Elliott began developing a theme that would bring a new and interesting flavor to the role of social commentator, emcee, while carving out a sound rich enough for the role of producer – overall sonic orchestrator and conductor.
Elliott and San are using this album to convey their opinions of music business and their roles within it. Frustrated with the lack of musical creativity, innovation, and integrity in the business, these two men felt obliged to ‘inject the life serum’ into this otherwise diseased and desperate playing field. By scrapping against the grain, they have created a project completely opposite of today’s musical trends.
Against the Grain is spanning continents, with San located in Maseru, Lesotho, and Elliott, in Santa Barbara, California. This distance and cultural diversity has helped expand their boundaries and push the creativity to an unexplored level. The hope is that this project leaves the listener with a deeper understanding of these two talented men and their thoughts on grinding against the grain – no rules pertaining. So, sit down and roll up, and feel the energy, passion, and truth resonating through your speakers.

Art Melody returns with Wogdog Blues – Ouagadougou blues - 05 March 2013
Hi Afrika,
Two years after the acclaimed Zound Zandé album, Burkinabé rapper Art Melody returns with Wogdog Blues – Ouagadougou blues.
An ambitious album which stretches the limits of African hip hop and throws the listener into a musical vortex. Produced by Redrum and Minimalkonstrunction, the beats draw from afrobeat, bass music, 1990s hip hop, African tradition and retro-futurism to best carry Art Melody’s unique flow. The album is mastered by Dave Cooley (Spoek Mathambo, J Dilla, Madvillain) in Los Angeles.
With support from artists such as High Priest from avant-garde hip hop group Antipop Consortium, or Walter Kibby aka Dirty Walt of cult LA band Fishbone, Art Melody helps us break down the borders separating our words.
Powerful, raucous and dark, Art Melody’s voice describes the blues and melancholy of an African people resisting poverty, disease, obscurantism and war daily. Despair which finds hope in Art Melody’s voice.
Art Melody still lives in the same neighborhood with his family.

Brand New "Red Light" By Bq Ifada On Free Download

DJ PRIORITY : VENOMOUS2000 & DJ PRIORITY "HOMECOMING" F/ MARIE KANU
Información sobre Faheem
Faheem "DJ Priority" Jackson was born and raised in New Jersey's 3rd largest city... Paterson. He was practically raised with music in his veins because of his parents fondness for music during his early years. His father, a Dj, always invited him into his home studio to listen and record albums
for personal listening. In high school, Faheem tried his hands at djaying and soon took a liking to, not only djaying, but the culture of Hip Hop.During this time he started to record and rap with his friends and family to create Mixtapes and DJ blends for his friends
.
After graduation, He continued to pursue his dreams by attending shows, entering dj contests and recording his own music through local studios. Around 2003, while djaying on college radio, he met DJ Max Jerome who introduced him to the NJ Hip Hop scene throughouly. DJ Priority began moderating Max Jerome's website www.basically-hiphop.com
and became a member of his radio show called "The Last Hip Hop radio show". The radio show became a significant median by getting local artist's music played on air throughought Passaic County in NJ.
During this time he met Blackk45, and numerous upcoming and established DJs, Producers, Graff Writers, Emcees, Beat Boxers and Breakdancers from the Tri-State area.
Soon after that meeting... DJ Priority, Max Jerome and Black45 began working together and eventually organized the event "Meet The Producers" which will eventually become the premier Beat Battle event in NJ from 2003 to 2009. This also happenned simultaneously as he started on a college music tour across the country with Virgin Records.
When he returned, Dj Priority began making a name for himself by performing and Deejaying at 100's of events in NJ, NY, DC and Philly areas. Most notably at the Hip Hop Political Convention, NJPAC's Planet Hip Hop and the annual RockSteady Anniversary Event... all held in Newark, NJ.
In 2005, he started to learn how to produce music for Hip Hop and R&B artists. He got his first big break by placing beats on Vast Aire's classic album "Dueces Wild" and Mighty Joseph's (Vast aire & Karniege) "Empire State" albums in 2008.
"The Rep Grows Bigger" - Gangstarr
After his first music placements, emcees and artists began to take notice of his instrumentals across the globe. DJ Priority was featured in the critically acclaimed "King Of The Beats 2" dvd established in the UK in 2008 and created by Pritt Kalsi. The dvd featured producers from all parts of the world in a challenge to produce the best instrumentals with limited money while being filmed throughout the entire creative process. During the same year, DJ Priority started to release Beat CDs entitled "Beat Cinema" online for emcees and listeners. Through this series he bagan to work with a bunch of artists including DoItAll (L.O.T.U.G.), Venomous2000, Jukstapose, Mel Official
and a host of other dope artists. Since then, he began to work with Venomous2000 to create thier first album together "Fresh Amazingly" in 2011.
