Anny Kassy, née en 1982 à Conakry, est une pionnière du mouvement hip hop guinéen. En 2005 elle sort l'album "Ghetto Khibaroui" (Des nouvelles du ghetto) qui la place parmi les plus pertinents acteurs d'un mouvement qui à l'époque est très revendicatif. Elle rappe contre le système militaire de Lansana Conté, pour l'éducation de tous (et des filles), décrit les violentes conditions de vie du peuple guinéen. En 2012, elle est sollicitée pour le tournage du film "10 Millions" du réalisateur Jérémie Lenoir et tourne quelques clips qui annoncent son retour artistique. Enceinte, elle enregistre en février 2014, son deuxième opus "Nimba" produit par Redrum, H-Man et 76OS. "Nimba" est la déesse de la fécondité et de la fertilité" en Guinée. 

Anny Kassy was born in 1982 in Conakry. She is one of the pioneers of Guinea’s hip hop movement. In 2005, she released the album "Ghetto Khibaroui" (news from the ghetto), which made her one of the most relevant members of a movement of protest back then. Her rap is against the military system of Lansana Conté, is for education for all (and girls in particular) and describes the harsh life conditions of people in Guinea. In 2012, she was called for the shooting of Jérémie Lenoir’s film “10 Millions” and made a couple of videoclips, thus announcing she’s back. Though pregnant, she recorded her second album “Nimba” in February 2014, produced by Redrum, H-Man and 76OS. “Nimba” is the goddess of fertility in Guinea
