chemistry and shared music influences were the ignition key to their forming a project based on their
members’ collective artistic experiences. Their desire to create timeless and trendy sounds
accompanied by intimate melodies filled with emotional energy lends THE MVZE character and gives
them a twist that interestingly prevents them from falling into the trappings of sounding “already heard” .
The music is edgy & has a modern vibe which bridges the gap between avant-R&B, hip hop & soul music with a sparkle of Pop. What they bring to the table is quality freshly composed music that reflects the spirit of the now and tomorrow, laced with a huge dose of original vibes; sweating it out on stage and making sure that audiences have a good time.

Lamont was in the studio! And provided us and our listeners some monsterbeats!
Born in the USA (Detroit, Michigan) he grew up in Germany and Belgium. He currently lives in Antwerp.
Lamont is known for his intricate DJ battles sets created in the late 90′s and early 2000′s, he won many national and international DJ titles.

Lamont produced 10 volumes of DJ tools that were sold the world over. These records were used by many (World) champion DJ’s.
He joined the Rodec R&D Department together with DJ Grazzhoppa in 2005 – 2006 to help them design the high-end dj scratch mixer, The Rodec Scratchbox.
Lamont continues to innovate today by using Ableton Live as a loop recorder/ drum machine in combination with turntables and several midi controllers.
Also, he is the initiator of the Senses Overloaded crew. In fact his last solo project carried the same name.

Senses Overloaded is a collective of dj’s, producers and visual artists who create high quality alternative music, motion graphics and audio visual sets using state of the art hardware and software. The musical genres covered by Senses Overloaded are: hip hop, reaggae, dubstep, drum and bass, Balkan beats, funk breaks and electronica.
Visual Artist Blubvideo Junk and dj’s Beat Butcher, Cross, Grazzhoppa, Irie, Lamont and Odilon have particapeted in countless musical projects, championships, theatrical productions, product demonstrations and international tours during the years.

sortie est prévue ce 18 février, une date qui coïncide avec la date d’indépendance de la Gambie. BQ rend un vibrant hommage à ce pays spécial pour lui où tout a commencé .

Depuis quand êtes vous tombé amoureux de la musique ?
J’ai embrassé la musique très tôt. Si j’ai bonne mémoire, c’est a l’âge de 14 ans.
Au début, pensiez vous vraiment percer dans ce milieu ?
Au départ non. Pour être honnête, en faisant mes premiers pas ,c’était juste pour le plaisir. Je ne prenais pas la musique au sérieux. On essayait d’imiter nos ainés. Mais je dois beaucoup aux old school sénégalais. Ce sont eux qui m’ont inspiré en ouvrant le bal. J’étais carrément tombé sous le charme du hiphop. Mais aussi force est de constater que j’accordais un grand intérêt à cette musique pour en arriver là.
Comment avez-vous fait pour atterrir en Europe ?
Voilà une question que j’aime bien répondre.
D’abord regardons dans le rétroviseur. C’est a dire au moment où j’étais en Gambie, là où j’ai débuté ma carrière de rappeur avec un groupe appelé Peace and Love. C’est dans ce pays où j’ai rencontré une femme qui m’a amené en Hollande . C’est par la ensuite que je me suis inscrit dans une école de musique en 2007 grâce a elle. Dutch Pop Academy, une école établit à Rotterdam en Hollande « University SKVR Music School ».
Vous faites quel genre musical ?
Je fais un peu de tout, mais je me sens mieux dans le reggae music, le hiphop dance hall et la pop musique. Mais pour vous dire la vérité, j’envisage de faire beaucoup de choses si Dieu me donne la possibilité.
Avez-vous déjà un produit sur le marché ?
Oui. J’ai réalisé mon premier mixtape en 2008 « Da rising time ».Ce produit qui s’est écoulé dans les rues , a eu beaucoup de succès. J’ai aussi sorti un autre en 2009 2010 qui était juste destiné a la promotion.
Maintenant parlons de votre nouveau cd ?
Ce nouvel album « Stop the gun play » parle de la violence que le monde est entrain de traverser.il y’a des guerres partout et la haine prend de plus en plus de place dans ce monde. Des révoltes sonnent partout et nous avons tous besoin de paix et d’amour.
Quelle réflexion essayez vous de susciter ?

Et à quand la sortie de l’album ?
UK Kreativity présente le mixtape le plus attendu de BQ Ifada. Ce mixtape intitulé « Stop the gun play » sera gratuitement téléchargeable ce 18 fevrier 2012. Une date qui coïncide avec la date d’indépendance de la gambie. Un produit composé de 18 tracts plus un bonus track et une vidéo.
